While space suits aren’t your traditional female battle armor, I think this subject can still be included considering all of the fantastical (and not so practical) “space armor” that is out there now in the illustration world. - The Manager
I found this great piece of art through Google when looking for Spear Women… but TinEye came up with nothing, and even using the reverse Google Image Search the best I could come up with was the file name used to be “winter_juno_by_phoq.jpg.”
So I am going to take a guess that it’s called “Winter Juno” and the artist is someone named “Phoq.”
If anyone can prove otherwise, please let me know and I will update this.

I commisioned this piece in 2009. She is one of my favorite characters (both for my own fiction and rpg games) and I think she falls along you alley. Hope you like her.

The Women of Sony Entertainment Online’s Planetside 2.
If you click the image, there’s a collection of good illustrations of decent female armor from that game.
She’s still got a bit of the sculpted breastplate going on… but all-in-all, not bad for fantasy armor.

Anonymous asked: Are you necessarily against sexualized armor as a whole, or would you simply like more practical armor to balance it out so that pervs can have the sexy armor and non-pervs can have the non-sexy armor?
I’ve been led to believe that this site is dedicated to a more practical application of armor for females. If it can be practical for battle, cover everything that needs to be covered, and still be sexy, though, then it can still be considered for this site.

Finally somebody admits it. When you’re a warrior, showing skin gets you nowhere. Unless your goal was a swift, embarrassing death.
I was surprised it wasn’t on dA. I scoured the internet for the original source and only found more submissions to funny sites, so I’ll keep looking and let you know when I find it.

Hahaha, how about I do a submission correctly this time? Sorry, I’m the original artist for Syleah and I feel real silly for the bother I caused. Have another character finished and properly sourced!
